Erangel

Highest contest, top-tier gear. Expect fights on landing.
Strong loot without Military Base-level early fights.

For the full interactive breakdown with rotation paths, see the Erangel loot map.
Best drop by playstyle

- Balanced squads: School or Rozhok.

For landing-spot specifics by squad size, see best landing spots on Erangel.
Themed event overlays
Erangel occasionally gets a limited-time thematic overhaul layered on top of the classic map. The most recent was Primewood Genesis (January 2026), which added the World Tree landmark, Florawings glide mechanics, toxic vine hazards and Guardian Flower loot sources for the event’s duration. When no event is running, Erangel plays as described above. For event-specific strategy when one is live, see the Primewood Genesis event guide.
Erangel FAQ
How big is the Erangel map in PUBG Mobile?
Erangel is an 8×8 km battleground, the original PUBG map and still the most-played in the 2026 rotation.
What are the best drop locations on Erangel?
Military Base, Pochinki and Georgopol are the highest tier-S loot zones for aggressive drops, while Rozhok and Novorepnoye offer a calmer Tier-A start with still-solid loot.
Does Erangel ever change?
Yes. Erangel periodically receives limited-time themed event overlays, such as Primewood Genesis in January 2026. Outside of events, Erangel returns to its classic layout.
Is Erangel good for solo ranked?
Its size and item density make it reliable for solo ranked — enough loot to gear up without the late-circle chaos smaller maps like Livik produce.
